Customer Review :
Great case but not worth the price. : Thermaltake Level 10 GT Super Gaming Modular Tower Computer Case VN10001W2N (Black)
Yes, I think this is one of the best cases out there, even though there are a few things that torqued me a bit. So, like the other reviewer, I will break down what I like and don't like into Pros and Cons.
Pros:
- all you have or need to install, Will fit! I had a case before this one and it was kind of cramped. With the 10 Gt cable chases you can route them out of the way and behind the mobo.
- The included fans are quiet, quieter than what I had.
- The Psu is installed on the bottom, where it belongs.
- User buttons and Usb connectors are in the front, not in the back, great for memory sticks.
- The hinged side panel for main access, it can also be removed!
- Fan speed adjustment is great, even if it doesn't remember my last setting. This is okay since the only time it seems I need this is when I am cranking on a game or backing up my theory using Acronis.
- Lighting is Very cool and I like the distinct color modes.
- abundance of room for my 760i water cooling, this not only aids in refilling but helps keep the radiator at a good temp even with the fan not fully cranked up.
- Good separation between Hdds, so the fan can keep them cool.
- Color project is great, black with red trim.
Cons:
- Screws, especially for the Hdds, they suck. I threw them away, you should too. They are not long adequate to reach the side of your Hdd, without great difficulty, through the rubber gromets in the bays. My spare longer screws for all five bays worked without issue.
- Screws that attach the Pci cards. Though large you still need a screwdriver to loosen them even though they have thumb knurling on them, suggesting you can remove them without tools. The threading on the case and screws themselves could be better, they are not smooth.
- The side panel on the other side (non-hinged) is a slider. Once stuffed with cables this can be a pain in the coccyx to close. I had to move stuff colse to and then needed help to get all 8 metal hooks to line up before sliding it shut. But, I don't foresee myself chance that back up in the near future, so just frustrating no real biggy.
- No mobo tray!? My last case had a tray you could install your mobo on and then just slide it in. This was very convenient, though since you are only doing it once (hopefully) its no real biggy.
- Price is a small steep, though not as costly as the top of the line. With the reduced temperatures I am looking though I am reasoning this will pay off in the long run with added life for some of my components.
